This prototype was created for the “Animation Workshop for Video Games” course in the Master’s Degree in 3D Animation for the Entertainment Industry at UNIR. Its purpose is to showcase an original character designed by Irene Bouzón, modeled and rigged with three basic animations: idle, walk, and jump.

The character was fully developed in Blender, and this prototype was built in Unity to test that the animations work properly in a game engine, even though they play back slightly differently ingame.

This prototype has no gameplay objective: its only purpose is to let you control Zipp and explore the room while checking the character’s animations in a cozy environment.

It's been a while since I last deployed with Unity, so materials, shaders and lighting (especially the shadows - they look terrible!) could be improved, but we'll work on that later. The game can be played both with mouse and keyboard or a gamepad/controller.

Controls:

  • Move: WASD or left joystick.
  • Look around: Mouse or right joystick.
  • Sprint: Shift or left stick click (L3) while moving.
  • Jump: Spacebar or A button.
  • Escape: Return to title screen.
